newTamiTami, Hospital Manager

Tami is responsible for keeping hospital operations running smoothly.  She works closely with Dr. Fox to maintain the high quality everyone has grown to respect and appreciate at Westside.  Although Tami often works behind-the-scenes, you will regularly see her lending a hand at the front desk; she loves interaction with clients and their pets.

She grew up on a farm in Wolf Lake, Indiana.  Tami says she spent more time in the barn with her horse than she did in the house!  She went to college at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana, and moved to Fort Wayne in 1980.  She worked at US Foods as a manager for 22 years before joining Westside as Hospital Manager in 2003.  Tami has 3 dogs and 2 cats of her own.  She enjoys her work at Westside; even on stressful days she can always find a puppy to cheer her up!

newKelsiKelsi, Registered Veterinary Technician

Kelsi graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology in Denver, Colorado.  Since then she has worked in both primary and emergency medicine.  Her own pets include dogs, cats, llamas, and horses, and are far too numerous to name!  Kelsi has a special interest in helping maintain healthy relationships between pets and their owners and in practicing the highest quality preventative medicine.

We love the technical expertise that Kelsi brings to Westside.  Because of her background in emergency medicine, Kelsi has seen it all.  Her skills in patient care and monitoring are first-rate!

newKristyKristy, Registered Veterinary Technician

Kristy graduated from the Vet Tech Institute at Fort Wayne International Business College in 2008.  After graduation, she worked at a low-cost spay-neuter clinic in Indianapolis for 1½ years.  During that time, she assisted in the spay/neuter of approximately 18,000 dogs and cats.  Kristy enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.  Her hobbies include mountain biking, camping, dirt biking, and riding her tandem bike on the Rivergreenway.  Kristy has two cats — Lilly and Daisy.

We appreciate the kind, thorough care that Kristy provides to the patients at Westside.

newRachelRachel, Receptionist / Technical Assistant

Rachel was born and raised in Ossian, Indiana, and moved to Fort Wayne in 2000.  She started working in the veterinary field in 2005 and joined the Westside team in 2008.  Rachel has a dog and a Rose-hair tarantula, plus a young daughter and two stepsons that keep her on her toes.  Outside of work, Rachel stays busy keeping her household running, attending college classes, and working on small art projects for herself and her friends.

In addition to her duties as a receptionist, Rachel often assists the doctors with treatments and with surgery.  Rachel is also heavily involved with inventory management — not a small task in such a large, busy animal hospital!  Rachel helps ensure that everything you may need for your pet is readily available.

You won't find a friendlier person or a more smiling face than with Jena.  Clients love the vitality she brings to our front office and lobby.

Tammy is a part-time receptionist.  All of our clients and patients love her!

newJamieJamie, Kennel Supervisor

Jamie does a wonderful job as Westside's kennel supervisor.  She gives each pet individual care and attention.  Jamie's love of animals began as a young child.  One evening she eagerly brought a handful of mice she had discovered into her home to show her parents; however, her parents were not as excited!

Jamie pursued her love of animals by obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in wildlife biology from Ball State University in 2006.  When she is not caring for pets at Westside, she spends time with her own pets.  She loves exploring the outdoors on nature hikes and is usually carrying binoculars or a camera.
