Dr. Marisa Burton joined the Westside Animal Hospital team in 2018. Dr. Burton grew up in Toledo, Ohio, and honed a love for animals with her family’s many dogs throughout the years. She grew up with several dogs including Newfoundland dogs, English mastiffs and one very special beagle. Dr. Burton studied biology at Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio before graduating from The Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010.

Dr. Burton practiced veterinary medicine in Ohio before meeting her husband and moving to Fort Wayne in 2016. They share their home with their daughter and their rescued Chihuahua mix, Yoshi.

Her professional interests include wellness and preventative care as well as client education and communication. Keeping our pets healthy and happy can help our entire family’s happiness and health!
